Alexander Dragonetti is a former British diplomat and crisis leader who rose to national prominence as the “People’s Champion” on the 2025 series of The Traitors. Best known for his role as a Faithful where he showed integrity, calm judgement and strategic thinking under pressure, he now brings those qualities to the corporate stage as a keynote speaker and host.
Before his television appearance, Alexander built a distinguished career across education, diplomacy and healthcare. He began as a teacher in a socially disadvantaged London school before joining the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. His diplomatic work took him across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Ireland, where he led crisis response teams following the Nepal earthquakes, worked in high-risk environments including Gaza, and engaged with remote communities in the Pakistani Hindu Kush. His service earned multiple awards and commendations within the Civil Service. He now contributes regularly to The I, offering insight and expertise across geopolitical situations, and his “diptok” explainer videos provide his followers with thoughtful and balanced analysis on current affairs. He brings these skills to his broadcast work as well, contributing to Matt Chorley’s BBC Five Live show as an expert commentator.
Outside of work Alexander is a dedicated activist for causes surrounding education, disability and health. He is particularly open about his support for Mencap, an organisation that supports people with learning disabilities and their families. After speaking about his personal connection to the charity while on The Traitors, he inspired a public response, raising nearly £90,000 in donations.
Drawing on these experiences, Alexander speaks on leadership under pressure, decision-making in uncertain environments, resilience, ethics and trust. Speaking on his experience as frontline diplomatic experience and the psychological strategy of The Traitors, he also offers powerful insights into human behaviour, team dynamics and maintaining authenticity when stakes are high.
Alexander is equally at home facilitating fireside conversations, moderating panels and guiding high-level events with warmth, intelligence and composure. His natural storytelling ability, paired with real-world leadership experience, makes him a compelling presence for conferences, leadership summits and corporate gatherings.
