Amy Matthews is a stand-up comedian, whose intelligent, distinctive and warm style has seen her become a firm favourite on the live comedy circuit. She has performed several critically-acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including ‘I Feel Like I’m Made of Spiders’ and last year’s ‘Commute with the Foxes’ which was followed by a UK tour and saw Amy included in The List’s Hot 100. Amy has also been tour support for comedians Ed Byrne, Tom Allen, Tom Davis and Suzi Ruffell.
On TV, Amy has appeared on the BAFTA-award-winning Scot Squad (BBC One), Comedy Central Live, and on radio Fred at The Stand (BBC Radio 4), Breaking The News (BBC Radio Scotland), The Good, The Bad & The Unexpected (BBC Radio Scotland), Nihal Arthanayake (BBC 5 Live) and Patrick Kielty (BBC 5 Live).
Amy has also written on Have I Got News for You (BBC One)
Amy is the host of the brand-new English Heritage podcast which launched this year and previously , co-hosted BBC Sounds podcast Snookered, alongside Des Clarke .
She is available for awards hosting, cabaret acts and brand campaigns.
