Coinneach MacLeod, internationally best-selling author and BBC TV presenter, is best known as the Hebridean Baker. Born and raised on the beautiful island of Lewis in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, his work is deeply inspired by family recipes, traditional Scottish flavours, and the myths and legends of the islands. His four cookbooks have made him Scotland’s best-selling cookbook author.
Often described as “the Stanley Tucci of the Hebrides,” Coinneach is a familiar face on ITV’s This Morning and the BBC’s Morning Live. His debut BBC series, Hebridean Baker: Nordic Islands, follows his journey across Scandinavia as he explores the food, culture, and communities of the northern isles.
His distinctive storytelling and culinary style have earned him widespread recognition, including Scotland’s Food & Drink Influencer of the Year and the Culture Award at the Scottish LGBTI+ Awards. He has also completed ten sell-out North American book tours in recent years.
Beyond television and writing, Coinneach is a highly sought-after event host and speaker. From hosting the Scottish Book Awards to leading major conferences and gala dinners, he has become a prominent figure on the international events circuit.
