Kevin McCloud MBE is one of the UK’s most recognised voices on design, architecture, and sustainable living.
As presenter of Grand Designs on Channel 4, Kevin has spent nearly three decades championing thoughtful, contextual design and the transformative power of ambitious building. With a UK audience exceeding 32 million and international broadcast reach, the BAFTA-winning series has expanded into several spin-offs, including Grand Designs: The Streets and Grand Designs: House of the Year. Alongside the 27th series, Kevin launched the Grand Designs: Deconstructed podcast, co-hosted with Greg James, offering behind-the-scenes insight into the programme and the stories behind its most ambitious builds.
Beyond Grand Designs, Kevin has explored climate advocacy, off-grid living, and regenerative design across a range of Channel 4 projects, including The Great Climate Fight, Man-Made Home, and Kevin’s Supersized Salvage. He has also written and presented Grand Tour of Europe, and spent two and a half weeks living in Dharavi for Slumming It, part of Channel 4’s 2010 India season. His latest series, Kevin McCloud’s Classic Car Road Trips, sees him travel across Europe, driving iconic classic cars through some of the continent’s most striking landscapes.
Kevin holds Honorary Fellowships from Cardiff University, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and the Institute of Chartered Foresters, and is a Fellow of WWF-UK. He was awarded an MBE in 2014 for services to architecture and sustainability.
At the intersection of creativity, conscience, and craftsmanship, Kevin brings a rare combination of vision and practical expertise to conversations about the future of the built environment, making him a compelling keynote for audiences focused on sustainable innovation, long-term thinking, and responsible development.
