Tom Holland is an award-winning historian, author, and broadcaster whose work has brought some of history's most compelling stories to audiences across books, television, radio, and podcast.

Best known as co-host of the international hit podcast The Rest is History, Tom has built a remarkable reputation for making history vivid, accessible, and endlessly entertaining. The podcast has attracted a global following and cemented his place as one of the most influential popular historians of his generation.

His books span ancient and medieval history and have earned widespread critical acclaim. Rubicon, his examination of the fall of the Roman Republic, won the Hessell-Tiltman Prize and was shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize, while Dominion was named the Sunday Times History Book of the Year for 2019.

Tom has also presented documentaries for television and radio, including his 2012 Channel 4 documentary Islam: The Untold Story and his 2017 follow-up ISIS: The Origins of Violence. Further credits include Dinosaurs, Myths and Monsters for BBC Four, Making History for BBC Radio 4, and regular contributions to In Our Time.
